AFRC introduces first Civilian Force Development e-book

The Air Force Reserve Command introduces its first Civilian Force Development e-book which has been created to share pertinent information in support of our civilian workforce. The content also applies to personnel on Active Guard and Reserve, Air Reserve Technician and Traditional Reserve status with civilians in their chain of command. AFRC launches Digital Age Resiliency tool on AF Connect

Reserve Citizen Airmen are now able to access Developing Resilient Leader, or DRL, content on demand on any device from one easy-to-access location on the Air Force Connect app. The DRL Digital Age Learning Content Wall of the Air Force Reserve Command’s AF Connect page was designed to be an easy-to-access and user-friendly hub for DRL-related information, documents and links. The content will provide resiliency material for AFRC’s 74,000 Airmen, with new content added on a scheduled basis for commanders to use and present as needed.

Burger promotes to Major General

In a promotion ceremony Matthew J. Burger, Air Force Reserve Command deputy commander, was promoted to Major General on May 11. The ceremony was officiated by Lt. Gen. Richard Scobee, Chief or the Air Force Reserve and commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, in the AFRC Headquarters building on Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. Maj. Gen. Burger is responsible for the daily operations of the command, consisting of approximately 70,000 Reserve Citizen Airmen and more than 300 aircraft among three Numbered Air Forces, 34 flying wings, 10 flying groups, a space wing, a cyber wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing.

VA to decrease SGLI rates effective July 1

Good news for service members' wallets! Effective July 1, 2019, the SGLI premium rate is decreasing. If you have coverage now, nothing will change except the price will be lower.
