Transition Assistance Program

KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. — As many men and women leave military service and return to civilian life, they undergo a process known as the military to civilian transition. To assist military members and their families, a program was established called the Transition Assistance Program.

Hybrid Work Environment is occurring now

AFRC commander discusses Reserve successes and future vision at Air, Space & Cyber Conference

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — Lt. Gen. Is the vaccine right for you? Leadership encourages Airmen to get vaccinated

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — The Air Force Reserve’s number one priority for COVID-19 is to take care of Americans, Airmen and their families. One of the best ways the AFRC can do that is by making sure vaccines are available for Airmen who want them.

Earlier this year, the Air Force Aid Society rolled out a new logo. This new logo represents an homage to a rich heritage strongly rooted in our connection to the U.S. Air Force, and a nod to our exciting future directions as the official charity serving and supporting a diverse, evolving Total Force. Air Force Aid Society assistance now available to Reservists in all statuses

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — The Air Force Aid Society is now providing emergency assistance to all Airmen and Guardians, regardless of duty status. Before the change in policy took effect on May 6, only Reservists or Guardsmen on an active-duty status were eligible for AFAS emergency assistance.

Scobee highlights Reserve contributions during Senate hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Lt. Gen. Richard Scobee, chief of the Air Force Reserve, and his counterparts from the Marines, Army, Navy and National Guard testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Defense during a hearing May 18.

Burger promotes to Major General

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — In a promotion ceremony Matthew J. Burger, Air Force Reserve Command deputy commander, was promoted to Major General on May 11. The ceremony was officiated by Lt. Gen. Richard Scobee, Chief or the Air Force Reserve and commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, in the AFRC Headquarters building on Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. Maj. Gen. Burger is responsible for the daily operations of the command, consisting of approximately 70,000 Reserve Citizen Airmen and more than 300 aircraft among three Numbered Air Forces, 34 flying wings, 10 flying groups, a space wing, a cyber wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing.

Scobee testifies before House Appropriations Committee

WASHINGTON — Reserve Component and Congressional members discussed specific Reserve missions, modernization, mental health, diversity and the fiscal 2022 budget. In addition, Scobee touted the many accomplishments of Reserve Citizen Airmen in a year marked by challenges.
