940th commander returns from exercise
940th Air Refueling Wing commander Col. Al Reif is welcomed home to Beale Air Force Base, Calif., by vice commander, Col. David Mitchell. Col. Reif and about 180 Reservists from the Wing had deployed from Feb. 5-9, 2008, to Gulfport, Miss., to participate in their operational readiness inspection. The 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., and the 445th Airlift Wing, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, also took part in this exercise that tests Reservists war fighting skills, and their ability to deploy and survive in a hostile environment.
