940th ARW commander gets wet

BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, CALIF. -- Nick Reif gives his dad the traditional "fini" flight water dousing here Apr. 25, 2008, while younger brother Brad waits his turn. Dad is Air Force Reservist Col. Al Reif, 940th Air Refueling Wing commander. The jet he flew, one of the final two KC-135R Stratotankers assigned to the wing, is scheduled to leave May 3, 2008, at 9:40 a.m., for the 916th ARW, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. The Beale Reservists will form a classic associate unit, partnering with the active duty Airmen for the RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft, as well as other support missions.
