940th commander visits Capitol Hill

Air Force Reservist Col. Jeffrey T. Mineo, 940th Air Refueling Wing commander, visits with California District 2 Congressman Wally Herger. The colonel was visiting Washington, D.C. for the annual Headquarters Air Force Reserve Wing Commander's Orientation Course. The course, conducted at the Pentagon, is designed to give a better understanding of the congressional and military processes by covering a variety of subject matter specific to the Air Force Reserve and Department of Defense. Topics included legislative update, Congressional issues, Unified Legislative Budgeting process, Military Construction, Programs and Requirements, Air and Space Operations, Medical and Personnel updates, Strategic Communication and more. Col. Mineo also toured the Pentagon and Capitol building, and was able to sit in on House and Senate hearings in progress.
