Citizen Airmen welcome Thunderbirds
An Air Force Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcon prepares to receive fuel from an Air Force Reserve KC-135 Stratotanker flown by the 940th Air Refueling Wing. The tanker is based out of Beale Air Force Base, Calif. and flew a mission to refuel seven Thunderbirds over the Nevada desert. The Thunderbirds are the main attraction for the Capital City Air Show in Sacramento June 9 and 10, which culminates Air Force Week. The 940th ARW will also have a KC-135 flyby and static display at the show. Air Force Week is an opportunity to inform and educate the public about the importance and role of the Air Force in America's national defense. (U.S. Air Force photo/Randy Gon)
