Team Beale completes base road repair in record time
Civil engineers from the 940th Civil Engineer Squadron build up and prepare a gravel road bed for asphalt paving. A team of 940th CES Reservists worked with the 9th CES to repair a portion of the road on Beale Air Force Base, Calif. Team Bealle worked round the clock shifts over a weekend to replace culverts, rebuild and pave a segment of Warren Shingles Road that had been badly damaged by flooding that occurred more than two years ago. Since that time, the culverts had been further smashed up by rocks and debris. The project also provided the active duty and Reserve Airmen with the opportunity to train for a future deployment in which they would be asked to complete similar tasks under more austere and dangerous conditions.
