940th Air Refueling Wing participates in local Veteran's Day Parade
Air Force Reservists assigned to the 940th Air Refueling Wing, Beale Air Force Base, Calif., prepare to step off in the Marysville, Calif., Veteran's Day Parade Nov. 11, 2007. The group greeted parade watchers and handed out miniature flags, among other items. The unit's flying element, the 314th Air Refueling Squadron, has a legacy that dates back to World War II, when it was a Troup Carrier Squadron, and the 940th dates back to the early 60s, at, what was then, Mather AFB, Calif.
