Women in Aviation Conference highlights inspirational speakers, heroic aviators

Tammy Duckworth, Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs for the Department of Veterans Affairs, speaks to a group about her work with veterans during the Women in Aviation Conference in Reno, Nev., Feb. 26, 2011. She lost the lower part of both her legs on November 12, 2004, when the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter she was co-piloting was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade fired by Iraqi insurgents. The Women in Aviation Conference highlighted the many accomplishments and sacrifices of women aviators, both military and civilian. (U.S. Air Force Photo/ Tech. Sgt. Luke Johnson)
