Lt. Col. Roland Tsui assumed command of the 314th Air Refueling Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony July 6, 2016 at Beale Air Force Base, California.

Col. Richard Heaslip Jr., 940th Operations Group commander, presided over the ceremony and welcomed the new squadron commander to the wing.

“I think we made a great choice since he is an even keel man and we are going to be crazy for the next 18 months,” said Heaslip.

During the ceremony, Tsui welcomed and thanked the reservists in the audience for working with him in beginning a new squadron here at Beale.

“I want to thank for your work to setting this new squadron up and for the work we are going to do together to be operationally ready,” said Tsui.

Tsui’s squadron’s team of pilots and boom operators will operate KC-135 Stratotankers to provide air refueling for the Air Force and Department of Navy aircraft worldwide in support of national security objectives.
