Proper Running Technique

Very few runners pay attention to proper running technique. Although proper running technique does not guarantee great times, it can help cover the distance faster. Here are some tips from some distance running experts:

~ Don't have your hands in a tightly clenched fist, rather, keep them loose and relaxed.
~ Keep shoulders square and level.
~ Keep your torso erect and run tall.
~ Keep side-to-side movement of arms and upper body to a minimum, it saves energy.

With practice, over time, proper technique will become automatic.
