Wing Commander's Call
A 940th ARW Commander's Call is set for Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Beale Base Theater. The first session begins at 8 a.m. for the 940th Headquarters element, Operations Group and Maintenance Group. The second session begins at 9:30 a.m. for the 940th Mission Support Group and the Aeromedical Flight. Attendance is mandatory, but personnel may attend either session.
Beale family extravaganza
Team Beale family members are invited to attend the Junior Deployment Line and Family AEF Fair Sept. 8 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Beale flight line. This event introduces Air Force families to the deployment process, available support programs and gives an idea of deployed life. Family members are welcome to attend while the Reservists are on duty. Family friendly activities include the family deployment experience, KC-135 tour and other aircraft static displays, face painting, deployment village, military displays and demonstrations, community information booths, a free BBQ lunch and more. 940th Wing reunion
The annual 940th Air Refueling Wing reunion is scheduled for Sept. 15 at Freedom Park, McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif. The festivities will kickoff at 9 a.m. and go until 5 p.m., with a pot-luck lunch. All past and present 940th Citizen Airmen are invited to attend. Please bring a pot-luck dish. Bring the boss for Employer Flight in November
The 940th ARW will sponsor the annual Employer Orientation Flight the morning of Nov. 3. Traditional Reservists can bring their civilian employers out for this four-hour program that includes a unit briefing and a flight on the KC-135. With supervisor's permission, Reservists have the opportunity to bring their employer to visit their duty section, meet their fellow Citizen Warriors, and learn about their military jobs. To nominate your civilian employer, use the electronic worksheet, or print it out and drop it off at the 940th Public Affairs office, Headquarters building, Rm. 121. Nominations accepted until the flight is full on a first come, first served basis, or Oct. 19, 2007, whichever comes first. 940th ARW Dining Out in November
The 940th Air Refueling Wing plans a Dining Out Saturday, Nov. 3, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Recce Point Club, Beale AFB. This military tradition will honor the wing and it's proud heritage. Dress for officers is mess dress, mess dress or semi-formal uniform for the enlisted, and black tie for civilians. The menu is a choice of seafood, steak, chicken or vegetarian. Cost is $25 for officers, chiefs and government civilians, $20 for E-8s and E-7s, and $15 for E-6 and below. This is a Wing Top Three sponsored event. Beale AFB hosts Air Force Ball
All Beale AFB personnel will host an Air Force Ball Friday, Sept. 21, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Recce Point Club, Beale AFB. Dress is mess dress or semi-formal uniform for military and suit and tie for civilians. Reservations must be made by Sept. 17. Cost is $21 for non-members and $19 for members. Medical Clinic hours
The medical clinic will be open from 8 to 11:45 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 for Reservists during the drill weekend. Services include physical and occupational examinations, the Immunization Clinic, and gas mask and respirator fit testing at Flight Medicine. Some yellow fever vaccination is available. The clinic will be closed Sunday, Sept. 9, for training.
Portland Reserve wing reunion
The 304th Rescue Squadron/939th Rescue Wing and 939th Air Refueling Wing 50th Year Reunion is June 20-22, 2008. All past and present wing members are invited. For more information, visit the reunion website at http:www.rescuereunion.org/
California aerospace museum free admission
The Aerospace Museum of California located at Sacramento's former McClellan Air Force Base, Calif. is now open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 10a.m. to 5 p.m. Exhibits include the Da Vinci Experience through Sept. 30, 2007. Military members with ID and their families are free! The Da Vinci Experience requires separate admission. Other tickets prices are discounted until Sept. 30, 2007. Tickets currently cost: Adults $6, Seniors 60+ $5, youth ages 13-18 $5, children ages 6-12 $3, children 5 and under free. Museum members are free with a membership card. Cell phone use while driving on base
All vehicle drivers must use a "hands-free" device to talk on a cell phone while driving on Beale Air Force Base. The state of California will also begin requiring hands-free cell phone devices beginning July 2008. For more information regarding the base law, please contact the 940th Judge Advocate at 634-1824. California Army National Guard positions

Reservists must check/update their emergency contact information at least once a year or during life changes such as marriage, births, etc. This information is also required for deployment. Please verify and update all requested information.
