BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. –
The 940th Air Refueling Wing Top-Three Association elected new officers for 2008 during a meeting Nov. 3 here.
Association members elected the following senior non-commissioned officers to the organization's top positions:
President - Master Sgt. Eva Beckner, 940th ARW Chaplain's Office (currently deployed)
Vice President - Master Sgt. Ellen Hatfield, 940th ARW Public Affairs
Treasurer - Master Sgt. William Johns, 940th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron
Secretary - Master Sgt. Eulalia Valenzuela, 940th Logistics Readiness Squadron
"I have the utmost faith that our new officers will do our wing proud," said outgoing Top-3 president Master Sgt. Charles Marchant, 940th Maintenance Operations Flight.
The wing Top-3 Association is an organization for the senior enlisted ranks: chief master sergeant, senior master sergeant and master sergeant. Their mission is to foster teamwork and morale throughout the 940th ARW.
Members usually meet at 2 p.m. on Saturday of the monthly unit training assemblies in the 940th ARW Headquarters Conference Room. All wing senior NCOs may attend.
"We'd like to see representation from each squadron and flight in the wing at the Top-3 meetings," said Sergeant Hatfield. "We want people's voices to be heard in what they think is important for us to be doing. They know their unit's needs."
Top-3 events during the year include bi-annual Senior NCO induction ceremonies as well as numerous fundraising events. The Top-3 also sponsors many events, such as the wing dining-out Nov. 3 at the Recce Club at Beale, which was attended by 175 Airmen.
"This year we're looking to strengthen our mentoring program for our junior NCOs," Sergeant Hatfield said. "They're the future of not only our wing, but our Air Force."
