Col. Marty assumes command of the 713th Combat Operations Squadron

Col. Jacquelyn Marty assumed command of the 713th Combat Operation Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony, Jan. 6 at Beale Air Force Base, California.

 

Col. Thomas McNamara, 610th Air Operations Group, was the presiding official. He spoke about Col. Marty becoming the new leader.

 

“I am very excited to have her join the 713th and she’s going to do a great job,” said McNamara.

 

Prior to assuming command, Marty was the Director of Reserve Affairs, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale, Air Force Base, Louisiana. She oversaw the U.S. intercontinental ballistic missile and nuclear-capable bomber forces of eleven wings.

 

During the ceremony, Marty spoke about deploying and her new mission at Beale.

 

“I think this is a great mission and looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and working and deploying with all of you.”

 

She also talked about the sacrifices made by the Reserve Citizen Airmen of the 713th COS.

 

“I appreciate the sacrifice because I know it’s hard to balance the civilian jobs, military jobs, and family life.” Marty Said. “I really want to thank you for your patriotism and I salute you for what you do.”
