The 940th Air Refueling Wing held an Individual Ready Reserve muster April 8, 2017, at Beale Air Force Base, California. Everyone who joins the military incurs an initial military service obligation of eight years, whether enlisted or officer. If those years are not completed on active duty or reserve time, the remainder of time is served in the IRR. During the IRR muster, the members received briefings on member responsibilities and opportunities available to them here. They also updated their personal information and received medical screenings to determine their capabilities of being recalled in support of mobilization or a contingency.
