Lt. Col. Paula Ross assumes command of 940th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Lt. Col. Paula G. Ross assumed command of the 940th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron from Col. Aaron Heick, 940th Maintenance Group commander, during a ceremony July 6, 2016 at Beale Air Force Base, California.

Heick was also the presiding official and welcomed her to the new reserve squadron at the wing.

 

“We are pleased to have her and have the upmost confidence she will do good work,” said Heick.

 

Ross‘s squadron is responsible for the launch and recovery of the KC-135 Stratotanker. This aircraft refuels military aircraft around the world in support of national security objectives.

 

During the ceremony, the new commander thanked all in attendance and was optimistic about the future here at the 940th Air Refueling Wing.

 

“To the men and women of the wing, I am truly humbled to stand here today and you are an amazing team,” said Ross. “I to continue building upon the professionalism you have shown me so far.”
