Teen dependents of Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members have the opportunity to participate in unique opportunities this summer, but deadlines to apply are fast approaching.
Two teen leadership summits are being offered, a Classic Summit in Dahlonega, Ga., July 20-25, and an Adventure Summit in Estes Park, Colo., Aug. 12-17.
Eligible applicants include dependents, ages 14-18, of Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members. Teens may only participate in one camp. Electronic application forms can be completed at

Teens have until May 7 to apply for the Youth of the Year Program and a chance to attend the Air Force Youth of the Year Camp. One youth will be selected to represent the Air Force Reserve at the Air Force Youth of the Year Camp, June13-16, in San Antonio, Texas.
Teens interested in applying must complete the Youth of the Year application form at http://www.afyouthprograms.com/YOY.htm. Send completed applications to Melissa Wesley at melissa.wesley@us.af.mil not later than May 7.
Managed by the Air Force Personnel Center Director of Services, Child and Youth Programs, the camp is conducted in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Military Youth of the Year program. For more information, contact Alan Ray, Services executive advisor to HQ AFRC, at 478-327-0215.
For both leadership summits and the Youth of the Year Camp, all transportation, lodging, meals and program costs will be funded at no cost to the participant. Baggage fees, additional spending money for snacks, souvenirs and meals during travel are the responsibility of the member's family.
