Chief Master Sergeant TERESA L. SERRANO

CMSgt Teresa Serrano is Command Chief Master Sergeant at 940th Air Refueling Wing, Beale AFB, California. Representing the highest enlisted level within the wing, she is responsible for providing leadership to the enlisted force. She also advises commanders and staff on mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, and the morale and welfare of Airmen.

CMSgt Serrano enlisted with the Air Force Reserve in 1998. She graduated from basic training and the air transportation specialist course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in May 1999. Her background includes various duties in air transportation to include load planning and joint inspection at the unit level, organization, training, and equipping at the group level, and deployment planning and readiness at the MAJCOM level. Throughout her career, Chief Serrano has been a subject matter expert in her field, an advocate for profession development, and an asset across the entire Air Force. Her assignments include Traditional Reserve, active-duty mobilization, Active Guard and Reserve, and Air Reserve Technician positions. Chief Serrano has deployed in support of Operations NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to her current position, the Chief was the Senior Enlisted Leader at 349th Mission Support Group, Travis AFB, California.

In her civilian capacity, Ms. Serrano is the Process Manager at 349th Air Mobility Wing, Travis AFB, California, responsible for the forward trajectory of continuous improvement and innovation across the wing.
